I created Here, but also here for Te Whāinga: a culture lab on civility, in partnership with Auckland Museum and the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.
‘Here, but also here’ is a locative artwork that invited visitors to explore layers of place and space. Visitors can experience both Silo Park and somewhere else through a combination of maps, audio, and imagination. This work of psychogeography was created through the lens of inheritance of space and migrations—great and small.
‘Here, but also here’ relied on participant curiosity.
